Price is a common word that most do not even give passing thought to.
The word in and of itself is fairly innocuous, perhaps even benign.
Proving this concept is fairly simple.

Pronunciation:
..prīs..
Function:
noun
Etymology:
Middle English pris, from Anglo-French, from Latin pretium price,
money; probably akin to Sanskrit prati- against, in return -- more at
pros-
Date:
13th century

1 archaic : value, worth
2a: the quantity of one thing that is exchanged or demanded in barter
or sale for another
b: the amount of money given or set as consideration for the sale of a
specified thing
3: the terms for the sake of which something is done or undertaken: as
a: an amount sufficient to bribe one b: a reward for the apprehension
or death of a person
4: the cost at which something is obtained

Allow me to introduce you to something far more insidious than a
simple definition could ever describe. The exact geographic location
I am not at liberty to discuss, however events and people are a
different matter. I wish I could say that none of what happened was
real. Quite frankly, I'm surprised I made it out of Price alive, or
so I tell myself.

You see, there are certain things that one must experience to better
themselves. I was free to do as I pleased. In reality, however, our
choices are limited by the laws we make and the prejudices we uphold.
This was not the case with Price. The most interesting part was that
it fit every definition of the word to a degree that most would
consider startling at best, and a lovecraftian nightmare at its worst.

The Arrival is fast approaching. Have you made your preparations?

Everyone is The Accused.
